St John Of God Hospital Murdoch - Hospital Redvelopment Updates | Murdoch Florist

St John of God Hospital Murdoch has been the subject of some $200 million dollar redevelopment, with the addition of a new Cancer Ward, New South Wing, new operating Theatres as well as the refurbishment of existing ICU/CCU, CSSD expansion and refurbishment, ICU/CCU refurbishment, Kitchen expansion, new administration facilities, and commencement of the Chapel, Foyer and Ward redevelopments.

"August 2014

The $200m redevelopment of St John of God Murdoch Hospital is nearly complete, with new theatres opened, and the first patients welcomed into our new South Wing after 18 months construction.
The new building features a new 20 place Cancer Centre plus four new 30 bed wards.

The new Cancer Centre features an increase from 6 chairs to 20 private treatment bays with external outlook and TV, consulting rooms for Oncology West, its own dedicated APHS Pharmacy service and an expanded clinical trials area.

We welcome St Catherine, St Rose and St Francis wards to our campus in our fabulous new south wing. Each ward features 30 beds including bariatric and isolation rooms, with a variety of workflow improvements, spaces and features for patients, families and caregivers to support the high quality care we provide.

Four new theatres were brought online with almost 100 patients treated on the first day. The additional theatres brings the total at Murdoch to 14, with an additional 2 theatres coming online later in the year to meet increasing demand.

The next 2 months will see completion of our CSSD expansion and refurbishment, ICU/CCU refurbishment, Kitchen expansion, new administration facilities, and commencement of the Chapel, Foyer and Ward redevelopments."
